PRESCOTT CARDINAL FOOTBALL: Of course, as the summer continues to wind down in the Tri-County Area, football is slowly, but surely making it’s way into our minds. The Prescott Cardinals Varsity Football Team will have an action-packed schedule for the upcoming campaign, under Head Coach Jason Wolf. KDWA Radio Sports received the schedule this week, and here is a glimpse of what’s to come this season.

FALL ADULT SOFTBALL FORMING: Hastings Park and Recreation will once again this Fall be organizing the Fall Slow-Pitch Softball League at Vets’ Park in Hastings. There will be four leagues this season, consisting of a Monday Co-Recreational League, Tuesday Men’s Class D, Wednesday Men’s Class D, and a Thursday Women’s league. Registration is now open, and will go through August 8th. Teams will play ten games, with the league cost being $350. League games will begin the week of August 25th. KICKBALL LEAGUE, AS WELL: Another offering this fall will be the return of the Co-Recreational Kickball League, which is also held at Vets Park in Hastings. Games are on Sunday evenings, beginning August 24th, and the cost is a minimal $75 per team. Registration is from July 21st through August 22nd. ADULT TOUCH FOOTBALL: For all of the aspiring football “stars” out there, Hastings Park and Recreation is forming an adult four-on-four Touch Football League for both Co-Recreational and Men’s Teams. Teams will play six games, and the league cost is $350. Registration runs from August 4th- August 29th, and all games will begin on September 8th.

HASTINGS BASEBALL GOLF TOURNEY: The Hastings High School Baseball Program will be hosting their annual Raider Baseball Golf Tournament on Friday, August 15th, 2008 at Gopher Hills Golf Course in Miesville. The entry fee will be $70/per person or $280/per foursome, and will include: 18 Holes of Golf, Range Balls, Catered Banquet, Door Prizes, Silent Auction and Raffle opportunities, and more! Sign-in will take place between 12:00 noon-1:00pm, as the shotgun start will kick-off the round of golf at 1:00pm. Dinner will take place immediately following the golf tournament. Two big silent auction items include autographed photos of Tiger Woods, and the “Purple People Eaters”, among many, many others.
